A stylistically eclectic, introspective record that blends folk, blues-rock, country, psychedelic pop, and Eastern-tinged arrangements into a moody, sophisticated set of songs. It was especially notable because it was one of the first major-label UK albums entirely written by a British female artist herself, which was a landmark at the time. Produced by celebrated blues producer Mike Vernon, with members of Savoy Brown backing, it has a richer, more muscular sound than her debut.
